Short description of the journey

After an overnight flight from Frankfurt you will be landing at Hosea Kutako airport in Namibia, where we are already waiting for you to pick you up. From there we will go and take a break in a well-known café for a second breakfast. In Windhoek's supermarkets you have the opportunity to do some errands for the trip before we are heading to our first accommodation in the vicinity of Windhoek.

The next day we are travelling through the beautiful Khomas Hochland in a southwesterly direction to our next district that is located very close to the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei. In the evening there is a delicious dinner bufett before you can enjoy your night in the very comfortable en-suite tents.

The following day we will take a closer look at Sesriem Canon and of course the huge red dunes of the Namib - and those who want to climb up the dunes can do this as well.

We continue our day trip through the Namib Naukluft Park until we get to our today's lodge at the Rotstock mountains.

In the morning of the next day you can optionally take part of an adventurous 4x4 farm drive to 1,000 years old Bushman paintings that are now still in a good condition.

Around noon we drive to the Atlantic coastal town of Swakopmund which has a lot things to discover and to experience. For example you can choose whether to see the small inhabitants of the desert on a Little Five Tour, take a boat trip to watch seals, dolphins and even whales, get to know Namibians on a Mondesa township tour or do quad biking in the dunes.

We spend the New Year's Eve for a great dining in the best Restaurant of the city by the sea. Afterwards we join a celebration on the beach together with many inhabitants and tourists. For those who prefer tranquility instead, we can enjoy a delicious dinner in the dunes under the stars or listen to the sounds of silence in the Swakop Rivier far away the mass crowds.

After two nights in Swakopmund the trip continues along the coast on an old salt route to Namibia's largest seal colony. For tonight we have come up with something special - a real outdoor overnight camp! After staying in the town of Swakopmund with all the activities, this camp is now the appropriate counterpart and a very special experience. Nothing will be missing, and the atmosphere is unique. Maybe we are lucky to see a few desert elephants ...

The next day the route leads us further north through the beautiful Damaraland, where we can view old bushman paintings, rock paintings, and special geological formations or visit the Damara Living Museum. Our accommodation is embedded in the dreamlike landscape, and a delicious dinner bufett is waiting for us in the evening. But before that, we do a small tour to track elephants and to enjoy a sundowner at sunset in the wild.

On our way to the Etosha National Park we will spend the night on the edge of Etendeka plateau with a magnificent view over the Klip Rivier Valley. Here, it is possible to optionally participate in an exciting rhino tracking drive.

During the following days we will try to see as much wildlife as possible

in Etosha National Park. We pass through the 22,000 qm area from west to east and -as always- enjoy the extensive dinner and the obligatory sundowner drink at sunset in the comfortable and luxury lodges in Etosha National Park.

After viewing many wildlife and amazing experiences we leave Etosha and drive south to our next destination, one of the oldest and most famous lodges in Namibia. If we have not yet seen enough of animals in Etosha, we will have another chance to take a lot of photos on a game drive and also participate in a cheetah and lion feeding. The lush dinner bufett completes this lodge stay perfectly.

On the way back to Windhoek we will make a rest for visiting a famous craft market where you can haggle with the dealers to get a few nice souvenirs for a fair price.

On our last night in Windhoek we once again enjoy the good food and a beautiful sunset whilst reviewing the journey by seeing photos, telling stories and talking about many experiences.

On the departure day, it is advisable to stroll through Windhoek to make last errands, to pack the suitcases calmly or just lie by the pool and enjoy the last rays of the African sun.

We will bring you to the airport timely so that you can sit back and fly back to Europe with many lasting memories and a bunch of new stories to tell.
